Basketball Game Preview: Gloria Deo Academy Lions vs. Bracken Christian Warriors

Gloria Deo Academy is 0-6 against Bracken Christian since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Gloria Deo Academy Lions will take on the Bracken Christian Warriors in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m.

Gloria Deo Academy is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game back in November. They came up short against Valor South Austin, falling 62-36. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Bracken Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 50-24 margin over the Homeschool. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Bracken Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Gloria Deo Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Gloria Deo Academy couldn't quite finish off Bracken Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2023 and fell 52-49. Can Gloria Deo Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
