Volleyball Recap: West Carroll Thunder vs. River Ridge Wildcats

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Ridge Wildcats. The Thunder were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10.

West Carroll's offense was headlined by Avery Mangler and Claire Handel, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Audri Wilcox and her eight assists. Finally, Mangler was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

AVA KETELSEN was a one-woman wrecking crew For River Ridge. as she had 15 kills, nine digs, three aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was ELLIE RIFE, who had 22 assists and two aces.
