Football Recap: Berean Christian Eagles vs. Hamilton Braves
Berean Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Hamilton Braves by a score of 35-22. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 49-20 loss the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.
Damon Neu went supernova for Berean Christian, rushing for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Neu got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 86 yards. Another player making a difference was Joshua Werner, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns.

Hamilton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayden Strong, who rushed for 153 yards on only 15 carries, and also threw for 145 yards on 11 of 26 attempts. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards.
Berean Christian will venture away from home to challenge Modesto Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will challenge Willows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Saturday.
