Softball Recap: Hillsboro Tigers vs. Necedah Cardinals

Hillsboro blew Necedah out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Necedah got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 13-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 8, 2024.

Michelyn Hansen and Elizabeth Cairns did some serious damage despite the final result: Hansen got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Cairns went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Cairns is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
