Basketball Game Preview: Elbert County Blue Devils vs. Warren County Screaming Devils

Having just played yesterday, the Elbert County Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Warren County Screaming Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Elbert County is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Banks County just ended the team's 16-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to the Leopards on the road by a 52-36 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Devils came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Leopards are ranked 86th).

Meanwhile, Warren County had to suffer through a 69-41 loss at the hands of Washington-Wilkes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Screaming Devils have suffered against the Tigers since February 2, 2019.

Elbert County's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-1. As for Warren County, they dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
