Soccer Recap: Coshocton Comes Up Short

After flying high against New Lexington last Saturday, Coshocton came back down to earth. The Redskins fell just short of the River View Black Bears by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Zoey Tumblin probably wasn't too happy after the game: she scored every single goal for Coshocton and still walked away on the losing team.

Coshocton's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Tumblin got a bit more time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 60). Tumblin made the most of the opportunity, scoring three goals A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Coshocton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for River View, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coshocton has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Heath on the 30th. As for River View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Loudonville on the 1st.
