Basketball Recap: Au Gres-Sims Extends Winning Streak to Two

Au Gres-Sims won the last time they faced Whittemore-Prescott, and Sophie Fox did her part to make sure it happened again. The Au Gres-Sims Wolverines claimed a resounding 54-15 victory over the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals thanks in part to Fox, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. Fox is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Bella Chipps was another key player, putting up four points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The win made it two in a row for Au Gres-Sims and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Whittemore-Prescott, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Au Gres-Sims will take on Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whittemore-Prescott, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals duke it out with the Hillman Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
