Basketball Recap: Brian James Jr's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eastern Tech over Overlea

Eastern Tech lost to Overlea back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mavericks fell 64-56 to the Falcons. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian James Jr, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Adrian Pefianco, who put up seven points and four steals.

Eastern Tech's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Overlea, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Eastern Tech and Overlea will both be playing Patapsco the next time they take the court. The Mavericks will host the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
