The Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers will face off against the Quitman Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Calvary Baptist Academy barely beat Evangel Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-4 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Calvary Baptist Academy got a great performance from Patrick Digilormo as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave Digilormo a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Garrett Lee was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Cooper Holmes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Calvary Baptist Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Quitman beat Simsboro 6-1 on Tuesday.
Hayden Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Quitman is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 11-12 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Hudson Pullig was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddox Duck, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
Calvary Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 22-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Quitman, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Quitman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Calvary Baptist Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .334. It's a different story for Quitman, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Calvary Baptist Academy's hitters?
Calvary Baptist Academy took their win against Quitman when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
