Basketball Recap: Lakes International Language Academy Comes Up Short

Lakes International Language Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the International School of Minnesota Huskies.

Lakes International Language Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for International School of Minnesota, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Lakes International Language Academy will challenge New Life Academy at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. New Life Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for International School of Minnesota, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Maple Lake at 7:00 p.m. on February 11, 2025.
