Baseball Game Preview: Ridgewood Rebels vs. Glenbard East Rams

The Ridgewood Rebels will face off against the Glenbard East Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Bartlett hit Ridgewood with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels came up short against the Hawks, falling 7-1. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridgewood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Szewczyk, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Tomcats with a sharp 22-1 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Glenbard East's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13-1.
