Basketball Game Preview: Littleton Lions vs. Dakota Ridge Eagles

The Littleton Lions will face off against the Dakota Ridge Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Littleton: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Dakota Ridge has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

Littleton is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Pueblo Centennial: they outscored them in every quarter. Littleton strolled past Pueblo Centennial with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 51-32.

Meanwhile, Dakota Ridge made easy work of Wheat Ridge on Thursday and carried off an 85-59 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 26 points or more this season.

Littleton's victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-16. As for Dakota Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Littleton came up short against Dakota Ridge in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 60-52. Can Littleton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
