Football Game Preview: Mulberry Panthers vs. Frostproof Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Mulberry hasn't had much luck against Frostproof recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Mulberry headed into their last contest having not scored more than 13 points for five straight, but DeSoto County let them put that streak behind them. The Panthers claimed a resounding 36-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

One reason for the win was Mulberry's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Jayden Johnson was the leader with four. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 6.5 total tackles per game. Gabriel Romero was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Frostproof took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-18 victory over Wildwood. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 30 points or more this season.

Frostproof's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Mulberry, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
