Baseball Recap: Dublin Coffman Comes Up Short

Dublin Coffman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-0 loss back in April.

Dublin Coffman got a good showing from Anders Christianson, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Christianson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nate Rorick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Dublin Coffman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Hilliard Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dublin Coffman will host Olentangy Orange at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hilliard Davidson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilliard Bradley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Jaguars have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
