Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Cyclones vs. Tonganoxie Chieftains

Ottawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Tonganoxie Chieftains. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cyclones of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Tonganoxie scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17.

Tonganoxie can attribute much of their success to Kaitlyn Dale, who had 11 digs.

Ottawa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Tonganoxie, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

Ottawa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Louisburg on the 5th. Tonganoxie has also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Basehor-Linwood on the 5th.
