Baseball Recap: Cameron County Comes Up Short

Cameron County lost against Elk County Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Cameron County fell just short of Elk County Catholic by a score of 8-6.

Cameron County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Shaffer, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Shaffer has posted since back in April of 2024.

Cameron County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Elk County Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cameron County will host Northern Potter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elk County Catholic, they will welcome Clarion Area at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
