Baseball Recap: North Dorchester Comes Up Short

North Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kent Island Buccaneers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kashton Thomas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Bleyer, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

North Dorchester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Kent Island, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Looking ahead, North Dorchester will take on Easton at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kent Island, they will square off against Parkside at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
