Softball Recap: Model Comes Up Short

Model lost against Lee County back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rylli Hunt was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Model's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Lee County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Model will challenge Nicholas County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lee County, they will take on Wolfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
