Central lost to Kennett back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Central Tigers managed a 55-50 victory over the Kennett Indians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamie Dawson-Ide, who went 8-for-12 on her way to 16 points. Brooklynn Moss was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Despite the loss, Kennett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyce Edwards posted 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The contest was Edwards' third in a row with at least 27 points. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Edwards, who scored eight points.

Central's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Kennett, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-35 loss against Poplar Bluff on the 11th. As for Kennett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-53 victory against Saxony Lutheran on the 13th.
