Softball Game Preview: Gardner Wildcats vs. Murdock Blue Devils

The Gardner Wildcats will challenge the Murdock Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gardner has six straight wins, Murdock has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gardner took on Maynard on Monday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Murdock lost 15-2 to Tahanto Regional on Monday.

Gardner's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Murdock, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Gardner took their win against Murdock when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
