Annapolis Area Christian waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Arundel Wildcats 3-0. The Eagles were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Annapolis Area Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Arundel between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-17.

Scarlett Netherton paced Annapolis Area Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Netherton got some help from Dakota Pentorn and her 23 assists. Sophia Groshek controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Annapolis Area Christian's record now sits at 8-2. As for Arundel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Annapolis Area Christian and Arundel will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to challenge their familiar foe Archbishop Spalding at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Arundel will face off against rival North County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
