Soccer Game Preview: Marshfield vs. Cassville

The Marshfield Bluejays are taking a road trip to square off against the Cassville Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marshfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Dixon get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Marshfield with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Cassville entered their tilt with McDonald County on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Cassville were the better team in the second half.

Cassville's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Marshfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

Everything went Marshfield's way against Cassville when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Marshfield made off with a 4-0 victory. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
