Olentangy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs by a score of 7-2. The Braves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Olentangy pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Bloom-Carroll, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olentangy will challenge Olentangy Liberty at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will take on South in a tournament on Wednesday.
