Baseball Recap: Clarkdale Comes Up Short

After flying high against Enterprise last Friday, Clarkdale came back down to earth. The Clarkdale Bulldogs fell just short of the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Clarkdale's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Southeast Lauderdale, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Clarkdale will face off against Neshoba Central at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they will take on St. Joseph Catholic at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Joseph Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
