Basketball Game Preview: SA Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Reagan Rattlers

The SA Roosevelt Rough Riders and the Reagan Rattlers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in SA Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.

SA Roosevelt is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They secured a 74-68 W over Eagle Pass on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rough Riders as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Reagan was able to grind out a solid victory over United South on Saturday, taking the game 64-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rattlers.

SA Roosevelt better keep an eye on Luke Garrison. He was instrumental in Reagan's win, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jemitri Wurtz, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points.

Reagan has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for SA Roosevelt, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Things could have been worse for SA Roosevelt, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-53 loss to Reagan in their previous matchup back in February. Can SA Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
