Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tremont). They breezed by the Hickory Flat Rebels to the tune of 70-38 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Tremont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Gillespie, who went 5 for 11 en route to 19 points and six steals. That's the most steals Gillespie has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Paige Gillespie, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals.

Tremont's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Hickory Flat, they moved to 9-14 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Tremont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Blue Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hickory Flat, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Potts Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
