Soccer Recap: Monte Vista's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Monte Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Preuss UCSD Tritons on Friday as the Monte Vista Monarchs made off with a 4-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Monarchs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Preuss UCSD with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alonso Sandoval (2), Benjamin Salazar, and Bill Isaho.

The victory snapped Monte Vista's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Preuss UCSD, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Monte Vista didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Hoover on the 21st. As for Preuss UCSD, they will take on Gompers Prep Academy in a tournament on Thursday.
