Football Recap: Healdsburg Falls Despite Big Games from Hayden Mariani and Louis Valencia

Healdsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piner Prospectors. The Greyhounds were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Healdsburg's loss came despite strong showings from Louis Valencia and Hayden Mariani. Valencia rushed for 108 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Mariani picked up 86 receiving yards and one TD.

Healdsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Piner, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
