South Salem strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Grants Pass Cavemen. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-2 on Wednesday.

Sawyer Nelson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Teagan Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South Salem pushed their record up to 26-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Grants Pass, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.

Coming up, South Salem will venture away from home to challenge South Medford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Saxons 2.7, the Panthers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Grants Pass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
