            Baseball Recap: Yorktown Tigers vs. Wapahani Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            Yorktown extended their losing streak  to four  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-7 in the process. They took  a  9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wapahani Raiders. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
Yorktown got a good showing from  Brody Foltz, who   tossed 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Those  zero  hits allowed gave  Foltz a new career-low.
 On the hitting side,  Kaden Crumes was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-4 with one  home run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Noah Loveall, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
As for Wapahani, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games.
 On Wapahani's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Grayson Acosta, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  Acosta a new career-high.
 Coming up, Yorktown will face off against New Castle at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Wapahani, they will take on Monroe Central at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Bears have averaged an impressive 7.9  runs per game this season.
