Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. James Academy). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Kickapoo Chiefs on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering St. James Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 35th in Kansas, while Kickapoo are ranked 150th in Missouri).

St. James Academy's offense was hitting Kickapoo from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Blake Wilken led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

St. James Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Kickapoo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
