Volleyball Recap: Wellsville Takes a Loss

Wellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Palestine Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Wellsville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.

Wellsville's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for East Palestine, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Wellsville will head out to square off against David Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Palestine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against United at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
