Baseball Game Preview: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. St. John's Islanders

The Scott's Branch Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the St. John's Islanders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott's Branch has given up an average of 17.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Scott's Branch is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Branchville on Friday. They lost 21-0 to the Yellow Jackets. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, St. John's came up short against Bridges Prep on Thursday and fell 6-1.

St. John's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Bailey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Jude Janssen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Scott's Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. John's, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
