Soccer Game Preview: Douglas County vs. Castle View + How To Watch

Douglas County hasn't had much luck against Castle View recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Huskies will take on the Sabercats at 6:00 p.m. Douglas County has given up an average of 5.4 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Douglas County lost 9-1 to Heritage on Monday. While losing is never fun, Douglas County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Heritage are ranked 30th).

Douglas County's goal came courtesy of Travis Kuntz, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Castle View's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mountain Vista by a score of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked Castle View's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Douglas County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Castle View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-3.

Douglas County suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Castle View in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
