Baseball Recap: Como Park Takes a Loss

Como Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Highland Park Scots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Thursday.

Como Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vance Ethen, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Como Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Highland Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Como Park will face off against St. Paul Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Highland Park, they will square off against Nova Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
