Basketball Recap: Clarkstown North Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, Clarkstown North was not quite Barack Obama School for Social Justice's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barack Obama School for Social Justice Lightning. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lightning apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Barack Obama School for Social Justice's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seediya Jabbi, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Raheem Azeez was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Clarkstown North now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Barack Obama School for Social Justice, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Clarkstown North has already played their next match (against Valhalla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Barack Obama School for Social Justice will challenge Riverside at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Barack Obama School for Social Justice is facing Riverside at the right time seeing as Riverside is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
