Basketball Recap: Tensas Academy Comes Up Short

Tensas Academy lost against Woodlawn Prep back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tensas Academy Chiefs were outmatched by the Woodlawn Prep Wolfpack and fell 82-33. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-14.

It was another big night for Cole Sinclair, who went 17 of 27 en route to 45 points and three steals for Woodlawn Prep. The dominant performance gave Sinclair a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Reed, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists.

Tensas Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Woodlawn Prep, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

Tensas Academy will host Mt. Salus Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodlawn Prep, they will venture away from home to face off against Prentiss Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodlawn Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season.
