Volleyball Recap: Harbor Pirates vs. Buchanan Bears

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Harbor can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Buchanan Bears on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Pirates haven't been shut out since back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-19.

Buchanan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Dedekian out in front who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Dedekian has posted since back in October. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Barnes, who had five digs and 18 assists.

Harbor's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-11. As for Buchanan, their victory bumped their record up to 27-12.

Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buchanan, they will be playing at home against Cardinal Newman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cardinal Newman is coming into the contest with three straight wins on the road, so Buchanan will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
