Baseball Recap: Chicago Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Disney II

Chicago Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Disney II Titans on Tuesday, falling 19-3. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Chicago Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dante Felix, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Felix has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jose Ramirez was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Chicago Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against Morgan Park on the 20th. As for Disney II, they have also already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Steinmetz College Prep on the 19th.
