Softball Recap: Shelby Golden Lions vs. East Gaston Warriors
Shelby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 26-10 to the East Gaston Warriors. One positive for the Golden Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Autumn Mathis and Julianna Vaughan stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mathis scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-2, while Vaughan scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those two runs gave Vaughan a new career-high. Matti Church was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for East Gaston, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
