Baseball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the El Toro Chargers.

Douglas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Ovard, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another was Luke Main, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Douglas now has a losing record of 3-4. As for El Toro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Douglas will square off against Esperanza at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season. As for El Toro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beckman at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
