Lawrence County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Mingo Central Miners by a score of 72-65.

Lawrence County pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points over those games. As for Mingo Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Lawrence County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-59 win against Betsy Layne on the 8th. As for Mingo Central, they will challenge Robert C. Byrd at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Mingo Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Robert C. Byrd likes a good challenge.
