Baseball Game Preview: Bullitt Central Cougars vs. North Oldham Mustangs

The Bullitt Central Cougars will take on the North Oldham Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bullitt Central knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully North Oldham likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Bullitt Central got the win against Moore by a conclusive 16-2. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Logan Leber was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Powell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

Bullitt Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, North Oldham didn't have quite enough to beat North Bullitt on Monday and fell 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Oldham's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Bullitt Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
