Volleyball Recap: Hand Takes a Loss

Hand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Amity Regional Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-13.

Leading Amity Regional to victory were Griffin Davies and Soma Kim. Davies had 19 assists and three aces, while Kim had ten digs and one assist.

Hand's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Amity Regional, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hand will take on Bridgeport Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Amity Regional, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Newtown at 5:30 p.m.
