The Exeter Township Eagles will take on the Conrad Weiser Scouts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Exeter Township is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Exeter Township barely beat Twin Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Raiders on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Brenton Feathers was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Jake Franek was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Exeter Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Conrad Weiser was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to Reading. That's two games in a row now that the Scouts have lost by exactly seven runs.
Exeter Township is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Conrad Weiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Conrad Weiser's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Exeter Township has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Conrad Weiser, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Exeter Township keep running through batters, or will the Scouts buck the trend?
Exeter Township was able to grind out a solid victory over Conrad Weiser in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 6-3. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Scouts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
