Volleyball Recap: Washington Christian Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Washington Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-16.

Maryland School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Washington Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Model Secondary School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on September 11. As for Maryland School for the Deaf, they will challenge Rockbridge Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
