Spring Hill lost against Carthage back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spring Hill Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to the Carthage Bulldogs. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kaylen Igbokwe was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds for Carthage. That makes it five consecutive games in which Igbokwe has scored at least a third of Carthage's points. Another player making a difference was Jakayla Teague, who posted two points along with 12 boards and four steals.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Carthage, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-15 record this season.

Spring Hill will venture away from home to take on Pine Tree at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Pine Tree has won ten straight at home, while Spring Hill won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Carthage, they will host Kilgore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
