Baseball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Takes a Loss

Sports Leadership & Management lost against IMG Academy Royal back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sports Leadership & Management Spartans fell just short of the IMG Academy Royal Ascenders by a score of 5-4. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Bunner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Alex Duncan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Sports Leadership & Management's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for IMG Academy Royal, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Sports Leadership & Management will head out to take on Tampa Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Tampa Catholic will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Sports Leadership & Management surely won't give up without a fight. As for IMG Academy Royal, they will be playing at home against Carrollwood Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (IMG Academy Royal: 3.1, Carrollwood Day: 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
