Basketball Recap: Metropolitan Learning Center Takes a Loss

Metropolitan Learning Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets and fell 58-29. The Dragons were probably out for revenge after losing 72-50 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Richard Chandler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Chandler's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Julian Surdyka was another key player, putting up 16 points and three steals.

Metropolitan Learning Center's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Metropolitan Learning Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-44 loss against Hartford Public on the 13th. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering has also already played their next game, a 70-55 win against Windsor Locks on the 10th.
