Recap: Poetry Community Christian Pioneer vs. Trinity School of Texas Titans
The Poetry Community Christian Pioneer had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Trinity School of Texas with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 45-27. That's another feather in the cap for Poetry Community Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Daniel McClure was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooks Walzel, who scored four points along with five steals.
Poetry Community Christian's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Trinity School of Texas, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Longview Christian the next time they take the court. Poetry Community Christian will host Longview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Trinity School of Texas will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
